Forgiveness - Wisdom from Zig Ziglar

Zig Ziglar is one of my favorite motivational speakers, and what he has to say about forgiveness is worth listening to. Forgiving doesn't mean forgetting. You don't forget. You can't forget - the brain doesn't work that way. You probably shouldn't forget, even if you could. What you do is turn loose of the feelings of anger, vengeance, self-pity and other negative emotions that you still carry, based on what was done to you in the past.

You walk away from it. You let it go. You say, "Screw it, I don't care about that anymore. I can't change the past. I need be free of this negative burden so I can relish the present." So forgiveness is something you do for yourself. How do you go about it? Zig Ziglar has an interesting answer...

I learned a key to having true forgiveness. Forgiveness without this keeps you trapped and does not really free you from the pain of your injury. Forgiveness is so powerful, but true forgiveness will change your life. Thank you for this article. Here is a link to what I learned. http://wp.me/pxUjh-M
